Description: Paris, in September and October 1918. Captured Drahen balloons are displayed in the Tuileries Garden and on the Champs-Elysées. On the boulevards, Parisians can see the advances on the western front thanks to a map displayed by the newspaper Le Quotidien. In a park, children navigate their sailboats in a pond. At Place de la Concorde, a tank shell, canons, mortars, and howitzers are some of the captured German artillery pieces displayed in public as war trophies. The English general Robert Baden-Powell presents a flag to Boy Scouts.
